I can see it being any different than using linseed or walnut oil. Mouse uses 1Shot sign painters paint which is oil base. So yes I have heard of that but not for artist oils. Amazing some can ridicule and stuf but cant come back and admit when they are wrong. He does wipe his brushes with a rag before using them. When he isn’t using his brushes he lets them dangle in the container with a brush holder keeping the ends suspended. I met a painter that uses automotive transmission fluid as a brush cleaner solvent.
